shipping problems. types & extra charge

i have 2 prob with my store.

 

1) now i have fedex for shipping the products and fedex charges 50 dollars extra for residential delivery. on my current site(before osc), i have this way: https://isisolutions.net/ssl/speedway/speed...sp?prodID=20008

 

if u see in botton, there is an option for resdiential and commercial. i want an option for customers to choose the same thing when checking out from my current store. i am think it might be something like prodcut attributes but show at checkout. one thing ...residential delivery is 50 dollars flat...for each product.

 

2) i also want customer to choose shipping type. between a flat fee, 2nd day air, and overnight. the problem is that it changes for each product and i want to put them manually when i am adding products. i dont want to use fedex real time quotes as my rates varry from that.

I thought it was $2 extra for residential delivery.

The rates shouldn't vary if you have the weight and box size correct.

 

I may be off here but FedEx I think has two different services. One for regular parcels and another for freight. You may want to see if you can hook into the freight services for shipping some products and call them and ask why the rates are different. It may be as simple as adding something like (if weight is over 75lbs the get shipping cost plus 10%). Also maybe look for an alternative method of shipping them that doesn't come with the $50 extra fee for the customer.

thanks! but still it doesnt provide the solution. btw i am shipping stuff over 200 lb and freight shipping charge for resid is 50 bucks by fedex.

is there any other way out..please help..anyone
