Goanna Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I am just wondering if anyone is working on modules for USPS for the creation of Labels and also to Track Shipments without having the user leave the site? you can get the API's from www.usps.com/webtools/ but unfortunatly they arent available in PHP, so they need to be converted from ASP. I definitly dont know enough to do this on my own, so I am just wondering if anyone has been working on it. I know that it would be very nice to have the ability for customers to see the actual status of their order on the my account page, without having to click a link to USPS.com. It would also be great if we could print USPS labels direct from the admin by choosing what service we want (Priority, Express, etc) and clicking one button to generate the javascript label that can then be printed. I know it has been done (the first part at least), there is a site that has the XML based tracking installed direct to the account history page, but I cant post the sites address here as I dont have the owners permission :(. I wouldnt be surprised if they have the ability to print the labels using the API either, as the site is incredibly modified. Quote

bigugly Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 USPS tracking is very odd our company ships about 1000-2000 small boxes each day so we needed to know each and everthing about usps ups fedex and dhl for usps we found lots of great help at USPS Tracking Package Shippments they also have great rate helpers to know how to say the most money with usps. we use flat rate boxes that are the best deal 2-3day shipping no matter where in the usa in 3 business days for 8.10$ no matter of the weight is very good. buyers love it Quote
