tritium Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Hello all ... I am new to osCommerce, new to PHP, new to databases ... my experience is more on the HTML side of things, and branching into ASP ... I need help :huh: I'm lost :( I'm in the dark :ph34r: - can anyone help me?? I want to know where to start with this project. Is there a way to test this WITHOUT putting it online? It asks for a database, but the one I've got is relatively large ... multiple categories, and sub categories, and multiple databases to handle the multiple categories ... its expansive, and now I want to put it online. Any help would be appreciated ... thanks

How do I setup osCommerce on my machine to set it up ... How can I import my database (its an access database) to use for this program?? Thanks for the help
Guest Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 it sounds like you are trying to run before you can walk. You need to install Mysql & php on your windows machine. do a google search on "mysql php windows setup". It should provide you with the instruction on setting up these programs on windows. As far as i know you can't import your access DB into sql.
