Hi All,

I just installed the software on a machine to play around with it, and it looks really nice! One of the things I am looking for in a store front is the ability to do good inventory management. I have no idea if OS Commerce does this yet or not, but I want the following features:

1. Ability to create new 'product lots' when I get new inventory in, and to be able to assign a cost price value for those new inventory items. That way I can have say 20 items in stock, 5 of which are left from an original batch that cost me say $24 each, and 15 that I got cheaper at $21 each.

2. Using the above cost price information, be able to run monthly reports that I can export to Excel or whatever to determine the profit marging for all the items that have sold based on the cost price values for the product lots that it sold from.

3. It would be really nice if it could also handle determining the fees associated with the sale as well, such as how much was charged for shipping, what the actual shipping cost was, how much was charged for credit card/paypal fees etc. At the end of the day the idea is to be able to quickly get a profit/loss statement for the items that sold so you know how much money you made (ignoring other office expenses) so you can make better pricing decision in the future.

Does OS Commerce support any of the above? My quick look at it would seem to indicate that it does not support cost price info, and very limited reporting.

If that is the case, is there anyone interested in working with me to add these features?
