Guest Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 I've been having major problems getting osCom running on my site, basically there are no emails being produced or received. I have spoken to my hosts and they don't understand whats happening and neither do I. the only thing I can thinkof is that I run microsoft exchange server 5.5 and maybe I need to make some adjustment somewhere. Does anyone know? otherwise it looks like I'll have to scrap what promised to be a great cart set-up :(
tdupres Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Hi Not sure if that is your problem. I host my site remotly but run exchange on an internal server and have had no problems. Is exchange running on your hosts server? Is eveything else running corectly as my mail system was not working untill I had sorted out a problem with orders?
Guest Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Hi toby, Not sure if my host is using exchange, i doubt it to be honest. The one downside to cheap hosting is the time difference, i'm usually asleep or switched off from work mode when they wake up stateside :( This is so frustrating as I've spent the better part of a month trying to get this set up and don'rt want to have to start again with something else, but, if I really have to i guess thats all thats open to me [insert smashing head through brick wall emoticon]
Mark Evans Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Make sure you have set the mail transport to smtp and also set the correct linefeed in the admin tool. If this doesnt work its probrable that you need to connect to the smtp server with a username / password.. I believe there is a contribution which does this.
