Novice Needs help with "Auth your admin catalog"

Hi,

 

I am trying to install the contribution "Auth your admin catalog ver.2.2 (English/Polish)" to protect my admin area.

 

It requires me changing the .htaccess file and adding the path to my server as below

 

/www/namofserver/htdocs/catalog/admin/passwd

 

I seem to be doing something wrong, and when I try it, it cannot find the file.

 

If my domain name is www.simplykoi.co.uk and the passwd file is in the directory catalog/admin how do I word the path to my server?

 

I have tried /www/simplykoi/catalog/admin/passwd

 

I know this is a dumb question but I am a novice!
