Hello, my name is NIck.

Any one knows what's the best way to advertise your site?

I have been looking around these days to find a cost effective way of advertisment.

So far I have found the following style, hope it helps.

-Search Engine Submission (Slow but easy)

-Pay per Click (ie. google adwords, overture..)

A good way, but cost quiet a lot

-Web Traffic Services (pay a specify amount of money to exchange x number of visitors) Don't know if this kind of method works, never tried.

-Link, banner, pop window exchange

Cost $0, disadvantage:have to put on those annoying banners to exchange traffic

-Email Marketing

Got to get as much email addresses as possible (Over load the addressbook can cause your computer to explode!! BOOm! just kidding )

-AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

Great way to drive traffic, as long as you are willing to split your profit.

I appreciate any comments & Suggestions!

All of the above (except the banner exchange and web traffic services). ;)

Probably the best way is to exchange links with other related (not direct competitors) sites. This will eventually drive up your Google page rank which will result in more Google traffic (which is ultimately the only SE that matters any more). I'm not talking about a couple of links here and there - I mean thousands. Research where your competitors are linked and request a link exchange with those sites. It took me 2 years to get my site to a Google page rank of 6 but I see between 200 and 300 visitors a day from it now. :D

hi rseigel, Thanks for your advice. Link Exchange is definatly a great way to drive traffic, so does Affiliate programs. Anyone think that we should have a contribution of advertisment program which includes link exchange, search engine submission, etc? What do you think? Comments and Suggestions are always welcome!

I am interested in banner exchange/ link swap with other sites.

Roughly, how many links would it take around the web to your site to get a high google ranking?

The quality of the sites you exchange links with is important - google rating 4+.

Your online success is Paramount.

Maybe y'all could help me figure out what I've been wanting. I'm thinking if we could have a contribution for affiliates that would create a rotating banner box. I don't mean the big obnoxious banners. I'm saying a box that says a simple "Visit our affiliates" and has one affiliate at a time displayed at a time that changes upon page change (same as specials & what's new). The clickable banner link could be a simple 88 x 33 banner or something of that nature. Here's a screenshot of the one I currently have, it just doesn't rotate. It's only one static link. I'm thinking if we had a contribution that rotated we could all exchange our banners and drive up our hits. Just a thought.

I think if we could have something like this with rotating clickable images, it would work really well for us.
