Online payment providers

Hi folks,

 

I've been looking around for a while and so far I am still confused as to which payment provider to use.

 

So what I was wondering, is there one that is considered the "best", a good price and a service that really works well with osCommerce?

 

Any feedback would be appreciated.

There is no "best" payment solution for all stores.

 

What is best for you depends on where you are, what your sales volume is, and how your customer base accepts the alternative choices.

 

Some of the payment gateways are targeted to the Europeans and others to the US, their fees vary widely depending on volume, service level and startup cost.

 

One of the problems with asking this question here is that forum rules prohibit touting or promoting commercial services.

I guess some more info is required. My sales volume is low to medium so far (it's a new store) and my business (payment receipt) is based in Australia.

 

I understand the policy on touting, but I was hoping for only personal feedback, not full advertisements.

 

That said, I'd settle for hearing about providers that are NOT so good to deal with and/or any problem reports why someone thought they would not use them again, that way I can at least weed out any problems early and I'll sort through the remaining one that I know work with osCommerce.
