Karlin Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 When clicking on various category names from the left hand column, the links work sometimes, but then other times they take the customer to the Login page. So, I think that it appears to the customer that if you want to even look at items in a category, you must sign in first, which is NOT what I was hoping for. The problem does not happen each and every time, only sometimes (very weird). Here are the specifics of the problem. Go to website, click on a category name from the left column, the category is properly displayed. Continue looking back and forth going to different category names, and everything works ok. Click on any category name, and you are suddenly taken to the login page. Hit the back button, and click on the very same category name, and it takes you to the appropriate category page. I have tried to find a pattern for the behavior that reproduces this error, but I could not find one. It seems the offending category name changes, and it also does not seem to matter how many times you click on different category names (i.e. every 3 clicks and the error is reproduced). I cannot reproduce this error. But a friend of mine went to my website, and saw the problems. She is behind a company firewall (which I am not). So, I think that in order to get this flaky problem fixed, someone would need to be able to reproduce the problem first (?). I do have "force Cookie Use" set to True, but I am unsure what else to check. You can try to reproduce the problem from here.
Urbluffingme Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 I could not produce the error you mention. I clicked on every category and many products. I clicked the back button, and tried many different combinations. It seemed to work fine.
ravenmedia Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 I have the same problem as you do.. but I myself cannot recreate the problem.. this seems to only happen when behind a firewall I'm guessing? I have yet still to find a solution...
