Installation error, Permissions not working!

Ok, i have finally got most of it workin when im setting it up, but when im nearly done, i get an error message saying -

 

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

 

Please perform the following actions:

cd /home/sites/site79/web/catalog/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

cd /home/sites/site79/web/catalog/admin/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

 

I then go to my ftp and change the permissions to 777 on both configure.php files and i still get the same message. i have also tried renaming both files and trying permissions 706.

 

How can i get this to work thanks

Try the little script you find in this thread:

Just replace the 444 with 777.
