Installation step 7

Hello,

 

i got the followed problem during the installation. While installing the shop, the software brings me an error in step 7 which is:

 

 

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

 

Please perform the following actions:

cd /www/htdocs/pascalke/catalog/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

cd /www/htdocs/pascalke/catalog/admin/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

 

all the datas i typed in the steps before are right .. i even tried it with the chmod 706 and 777. I hope you could help me.

If there is already a thread with the same error, i?m sorry then for posting it another times.

this is a common error, double check the attributes of the file via ftp by right clicking on the file and going to attributes, make sure all boxes are checked. if you have access to the *nix shell, then change to the folder and chmod 777 configure.php for both the catalog/includes and admin/includes configure.php
