We recommend upgrading your ... _____________________________________ Clicking on this link will bring you to my webpage, but... how do I get it to display the correct description that's in my <META> tag? Sorry my mistake, google uses frames and somehow it seems that your browser does not support them :blink: So Babysweet's question was valid: what browser and version are you using?
fishy Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 Slightly off topic but google ignores meta tags. i see many meta descriptions within google results. whether google uses them in their algorithm for ranking purpose is another issue. but they can show on the results, depending on the other text on the pag. best.

I know IE6 supports frames, so what could be another explanation why I'm getting that 'error' in google? I'm just curious what the search for 'focus-computers.com' shows in other peoples' browsers. I don't know, maybe google doesn't allow searches for sites in that fashion I mean, if you have your web address, focus-computers.com, why would you be searching google for it, Maybe like what MSN does when you click a link they use a frame so their addvertisement is always on top anyway, I don't know, hope you find the solution Sincerely, Joseph Seabert
vasttech Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 It may have something to do with the hyphen in your domain name. Google (and most search engines) use the hyphen as part of their query.
