After Checkout goes 404 error!

when a user clicks Continue (after checkout, after it says "your order has been processed):

 

https: .... /catalog/checkout_success.php?osCsid=9f7059621b803ccc79fdb0dd45b41134

 

it goes to :

 

https:// .... /catalog/checkout_success.php?action=update&osCsid=9f7059621b803ccc79fdb0dd45b41134

 

and that page reveals a 404 error (no such page). How can I fix that problem ?

no i do not use the paypal payment module (i use regular credit card)

though, when a user tries to login - enters user name / password - it logs in (but goes to 404 page too) and then when i hit back on browser - it shows his options <_< so maybe it has to do with cookies ? I don't have a clue.

 

what should be in my cookies https path anyway ? if that should solve it ?
