Preformated Emails for Customers

I used to work for a pretty busy ecommerce business.

 

In our backend we had preformatted email forms that we sent to clients.

 

for Example

We could select from a list of email subjects like

 

"Substitution Needed- Order #007"

"Contact Us Regarding- Order #007"

"Shipping Delay due to- Order #007 Snow"

 

And when we clicked a button, a preformatted email, complate with subject would appear in the email form textarea and all we had to do was hit "send" (or modify it slightly first if we wished.)

 

It would be cool and would definetly save a lot of time if the OSC admin had such a mechanism. Perhaps it could go in the "view order" page? I'm still new to php and mysql but is something like this feasible?
