Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Hi, I hope someone can help me this is kind of urgent. I have downloaded the files to my computer and extracted it with winzip. I have also uploaded the files to my web server. When I go to the next step. http://mydomain/install I get a screen that says I am not authorized to view this page. Why? What do I need to do? Thanks, Jodi
Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Yes but I am not second guessing my self so I have started deleting all the files and I will re up load them all back to my server. This is about the 3rd time I've tried this however and I still get the same thing. We'll see what happens after I do this...
Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 just upload the catalog folder so it will be like mydomain.com/catalog

LOL I've been trying to get passed this point for the last couple of days... I really appreciate your help... Jodi

Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Do I need to set permissions? If so how can I do this. My web server does support mysql, php etc... it's a linux server. I use frontpage to do all my uploading could this be the problem? I know I read someplace about using the FTP and right clicking on the file to set permissions but I can not do this in Front page and when I use my servers FTP it also will not allow me to do this... Is there a free public FTP that maybe I should be using to do this process?
Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Ok I see what's going on... It has uploaded the file but all of the contents of the folder are not there... This might be the problem... Let me try to upload all the contents and see if this works. Thanks... Might be back for more LOL
Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 As I'm trying to upload the files it will not allow me to upload the htaaccess files do you know if this is neccessary?
