rdhinman Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 Hi, I am setting up a shopping cart site for my wife and her mother to sell some craft related products. They want to be able to have other people sell their wares on our cart on a consignment basis. We stock/ship the product, and we have the merchant account to collect the fees. The seller (vendor/manufacturer, etc) will be paid a percentage of the net profit (income after shipping/handling/merchant charges subtracted). We will take the remaining percentage as our commission. Do you know if OSCommerce has a supplier/manufacturer interface which will allow the supplier to check their sales, hits, change pricing/stock qty. And will hopefully figure the above mentioned sales/expense commission formula. Barring this, is there a way to report on these supplier sales from an administrative standpoint so that we can manually crunch the reports and give them to our suppliers on a monthly basis? If OSCommerce doesn't currently do it, do you think that it would be possible to create this functionality, and if so, easily (hopefully cheaply)? And finally, if OSC will not perform this function, do you know of a different cart be it free or paid that does have this functionality. Thanks in advance. Bob
♥ecartz Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 The most recent version of the Virtual Mall contribution supports part of this. You may want to look into that, at least to provide a start. Hth, Matt Always back up before making changes.
