gheffron Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 My host has just informed me that I'm about to exceed my allowed limit of 300MB after my recent install of OSCommerce. They're saying that the mySQL log file is 270MB, and that if I cut it down, everything will be all right. Is this normal for my log file to be that large? It seems quite weird. Also, does anyone know how to "cut it down" without disrupting anything? Thanks, Greg Heffron
Aziz Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 get another hosting service :P i think there is a way.. this issue came up before.. try searching the forum for log file salam, --------------------------------
gheffron Posted April 7, 2004 Author Posted April 7, 2004 No luck. I searched and searched, but there's so many posts... Anyone have a clue about this? There's no way this is normal. A 270MB log file generated in a few weeks of work? Something's goofy, for sure.
Guest Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 sounds like you have logging enabled on the webserver, in your admin section. look through there, see what you have. you should only use the sql logging if you have problems.
