Order numbers

Recommended Posts

With a new installation / new store the order/invoice number is set to zero.

What's the best way to get this number up into a good figure (2000 odd) so it doesn't look like an empty unused site??

place an order - afterwards go into your db and change the order number on that order to whatever you want i.e. 2000. Order numbers auto-increment so the next order will be 2001.

Just ensure you amend all references to order number within your DB.

Contrib in my sig re random number is also something you could use.

Be careful using this..... it does not comply with EU invoice regulations if you use the order number as the invoice number.
