Help...messed up Index page

Recommended Posts

I was trying to change my heading titles "Let's See What We Have Here" and "What's new Here" on the index page. I changed the words and now I am getting an error on the website and all the heading titles are showing up with the words "HEADING TITLE" and it is giving this error: "Parse error: parse error in /home/virtual/site260/fst/var/www/html/oscommerce/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 25" at the top of the page.

Below is what the html text looks like. Anyone have any idea what the problem is or how I can fix it?

define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Let'/s See What We Have Here');

define('HEADING_TITLE', 'What'/s New Here?');

should be...

define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Let/'s See What We Have Here');

define('HEADING_TITLE', 'What/'s New Here?');

Notice the slash position.

Had the same problem setting up my shop .

As already stated you need to add the escape character "/" before any specail character in between definitation quotes:

Specail characters ex : " (double quote) ' (single quote) etc..

(Define"Maintext,"blah blah He said /"wow/" in /'blah/' blah")

Hope that helps
