Flyboy75 Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 New to Oscommerce---Question is this, my store is based in North Carolina, for all sales outside the state there is no sales tax--but sales within the state there should be a sales tax added. How do I accomplish this??
AlanR Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 From the Admin Control Panel Location / Taxes -> Tax Zones Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
Flyboy75 Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 I have tried a test purchase with a ship to address of North Carolina, and it does not calculate any tax. I do have a tax zone for North Carolina set up as the only state for which tax is applied.
kaos9889 Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Are you sure the customer "account" you created to do this test is set home in that state? and what is the url so i could check it out and see. There are many very useful OsC Contributions BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right?? And remember if you didnt back up its not a big deal, You just have to do everything all over again.
Guest Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 After you have added your tax zone folder be sure to click on it and add your actual tax zone.
Flyboy75 Posted March 31, 2004 Author Posted March 31, 2004 Thanks for all your help..........Its working
