I got my friend to look at the config files. He is a php guru and it only took him 20

min to read through, understand the osCommerce file system and config files and fix

what needed to be fixed. He is the man!

Make sure to read EVERY line of the following config files and replace yoursite with

your info. "yoursite" doesnt necessarily mean your full site name. For the ipowerweb

users "yoursite" could be ie: "bobsbigbikes" or bobsbigb from an original

www.bobsbigbikes.com

The only time you use your full "yoursite" is in the first line of the Includes config...

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://yoursite.com');

..."yoursite" in the above example would be "bobsbigbikes".

Last note: Your ipowerweb shared ssl server might be different from mine. Make

sure you find the one that was assigned to you.

Well, as a matter of fact I DID read them. Maybe that is how YOUR config files are set up, but all the others that I have seen all over the forum including mine are completely different.

There's no need to get nasty about it. I was hoping you realized the way they were and posted the other file. But from your reaction, I wouldn't want to see them anyway.

Have a great day!

I smell love in the air. Rawr.

Anyways if you really think about it all the config files do is tell the scripts how to format

the urls throughout the site. It doesnt matter how they look. As long as everything is

defined as needed. icon12.gif

"yoursite" doesnt necessarily mean your full site name. For the ipowerweb

users "yoursite" could be ie: "bobsbigbikes" or bobsbigb from an original

www.bobsbigbikes.com

for the HTTP parts (when using sharedSSL), you do not use your website URL. It is your hosting account username that you use. Now, your username happens to be your website URL, so in your case it would seem that you have to use your URL name without the ".com" or ".net" or whatever.

For instance, my website name is MYWEBSTOREISAWESOME.com. But my hosting account username is qwerty2345.

So let's say I use my host's Shared SSL.

In the HTTPS parts in my cingig files, I would use my hosts SSL url which contains my username...not my URL...

So in other wortd, I would use...

https://myhostssslurl.com/~qwerty2345

and NOT...

https://myhostssslurl.com/~MYWEBSTOREISAWESOME

or not even...

https://myhostssslurl.com/~MYWEBSTOREISAWESOME.com
