sheepiedog
I am stuck here. On each category page, it shows a Manufacturers drop down box in the category header. How do I hide this so that it just shows the category title and category image? Which file?
Guest
Hi Deb, If you're still having problems with the 'hide manufacturers' situation, do this: go to: /catalog/admin/manufacturers.php in the admin section. You can go to admin, then click on catalog, then click on manufacturers also. Simply DELETE all companies listed and that will set the "manufacturers' to '0' (zero). This will automatically eleminate the drop-down from the main page. I went through the same frustration but finally figured it out. Hope this helps! sheepiedog
Thanks for your reply, Actually I am using the manufacturers for something else (like an additional category) and so dont want to delete them, I just want to hide (comment them out) on the categories header area in between the category title and the category image..... sheepiedog
Found it! For anyone else that is looking for this information: to hide the 'show manufacturers' on the category page that lists your products. go to your osc admin panel. go to configurations and then product listing down at the bottom choose: 'Display category/manufacturer filter' and edit this and set it to 0 (disable)
