aldaffodil
Hello everyone. My client would like me to put a search box on the site that searches both the products and the content. (They have a LOT of content...much like the information pages) Anyone know of a contribution that does this or can you point me in the right direction? thanks. stevel
I use the Atomz Express free site search service. It is very full featured and flexible. Click on the www button below to go to my site to see how it works. There are two basic steps to using Atomz. First, is the search form itself, which Atomz will supply the code for. Second, you need to come up with a "template page" for the search results, if you want the results page to look anything like your site. (The default is just a plain page with your header graphic.) If you look at my site's search results page, you'll note that it's actually an HTML page served from atomz.com. I made the template by capturing the HTML from a sample page and removing the links to things like the shopping cart. If a customer has a cart, it will be preserved across the search and will be displayed when they reenter your site by clicking on a search result.
