mySQL Access Denied

Alright, I am A SUPER-NEWBIE.

 

I am at the 2nd page of install and I put all the mySQL infortmation in and I get an error:

 

Access denied for user: 'jaldrich_brian@localhost' to database 'jaldrich_xmb1'

 

How do I get past this?

 

I put in my ip address, my username : jaldrich_brian , my password , my database name : jaldrich_xmb1 , and i checked persisten connections, and session storage i hightlighted database. (even though I don't know what the last two things mean)

If i remember correctly on that same config page you also had to enter the database

server url. Try putting in "localhost" for database server, assuming your username and

sql database name is corrent. Case sensitive i believe.

Try adding localhost for the DB server (as said above) and leaving your username and password blank. Let OSC create them for you. I can't remember if there is anything else on that page.

 

When you do get in, osC will have the information stored in catalog/includes/configure.php. (near the bottom)

Make sure the database actually exists as well :)

I have done all of this.

 

I tried my server as a database. then my ip address, then typing localhost.

 

And I have created many different usernames and database names.

 

I have also given all of these things [all permissions].

 

I have tried not typing in a username or password at all.

 

I think I have tried it all, can someone give me a step by step from this point on?

 

my database prefix is jaldrich_

my website IP is 69.73.141.24

okay i guess nevermind, i troubleshooted and it worked.
