BIG Importing problem

Hi there,

 

I have a major problem with EasyPopulate for 2.2 MS2.

I'm running a single language that I added after install.

 

The thing is that I did the following.

All the categories the products should be in have been hand typed in by me with 1 real product in each one of these categories.

 

Now what I did is that I exported after all categories had been made and 1 article had been added to each categorie.

This way I normally get a good export and a good template for import.

 

When I add products to my downloaded export file and the reupload them(after splitting), it goes wrong.

 

Only 1 product is added to each category and that's the same article everytime in each category.

 

The thing is that the system doesn't import all the articles.

My productname header in the export file is: v_products_name_4

You can do anything like ordering etc. cause its test version at the moment.

Hi Coen,

 

Each product on your site has the same modelnumber. That is not possible, this must be a unique number.

 

If you only have language installed it you should take a look at your headers in de EP import file.

 

v_products_model v_products_image v_products_name_4 v_products_description_1 v_products_url_1

 

If you installed the language Dutch after the installation it has most likely be given number 4.

 

In the quote above you give the product_name # 4 but the description and url are for a different language, number 1 English.

 

Change that and I think it should work.

Ik heb dit aangepast maar het werkt nog steeds niet zoals het hoort.

Er gebeurt eigenlijk niks.

 

Wat me wel ineens opviel is dat er onderaan het resultaat na de import de volgende melding te zien is:

 

No products_model field in record. This line was not imported

 

Zegt dit mischien iets meer over de aard van het probleem?

Daarnaats lees ik ook veel over een zogeheten Master Products update.

Heeft dat hier mogelijk iets mee te maken?
