trendyfashion
Just thought I would give everyone a heads up on the old paypal problem when customer does not click the return button. Paypal now has an auto return setup!!!!! Put your url in and there is no need to worry if they click the return link. Log into your paypal account and under merchant tools you will see the link down at the bottom for auto return!!! Yeah good job paypal! The Wiki Docs: Read them, live them and be thankful for them! AlanR
Good for them. Now all they have to do is figure out how to get all the people who don't trust PayPal to use the service. If you only accept PayPal you're writing off at least 20% of your potential customers. only2empires
We already discussed this in this thread. You may want to take a look at what transpired and why IPN is still needed. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=80594&hl= If you only accept PayPal you're writing off at least 20% of your potential customers. Actually, with the new feature with the business premier account and not having to register an account with PayPal as long as they use credit/debit card...sales have picked up quite a bit. I think it was the fact people didn't want to register for an account, especially businesses purchasing from you, but now that they don't have to, it is used more often now. If wishes were horses then beggars would ride. PayPal's reputation is irrevocably damaged and they've got a high hill to climb before they'll ever become credible. only2empires
Maybe I should have said "MY" sales they have picked up. Could be more...and just might luck out....but I haven't had any problems now. Businesses order in bulk and when they call I give them the direct link to send money and they have had no problems with that, as long as they didn't have to register with PayPal. Guest
How do you get this buisness premier account? I have a buisness paypal account, but my customers still have to open an account with paypal to pay me :(
only2empires
You have to become fully verified. Meaning adding a credit card and checking account to YOUR PayPal account. If you already have this, contact PayPal.

Guest
You have to become fully verified. Meaning adding a credit card and checking account to YOUR PayPal account. If you already have this, contact PayPal. also if you give them your S.S.#, and verify your telephone number you get the merchant account which will enable you to recieve a 2.2% instead of 2.9%.....some rules to that apply tho. only2empires
Yes, I'd rather pay the 2.9%, really don't like giving out my SS to anyone unless its government related....and even that is scarey!!!
