While Myriad Games has been live and taking real orders since about mid-October 2003, we have only just begun to discover the joys of the osCommerce community. We are always looking for ways to improve and any suggestions are very welcome. We have just added a messageboard and forums (thanks to GeekLog) and did our best to unify them, so hopefully both the forums and the store look like one website. Any suggestions on that front? cdi-buy.com Posted March 25, 2004 Share Posted March 25, 2004 it looks good and definitely like its all the same site...you did a good job merging them. it doesnt look professional though (but then again neither did mine when it was up lol) I do like the color scheme but the main page looks like it's too cluttered with infoboxes and headers. Please poke around some more and see if you find any other issues. What do you like? What don't you like? Are our products well displayed? Is the site easy to navigate? Is it easy to find something you are looking for? How are load times? Thanks again. cdi-buy.com Posted March 26, 2004 Share Posted March 26, 2004 I'm not into those games and such so I wouldn't even know what to look for if I wanted to! :lol: On a brighter note, it seems to load pretty quickly *ahem*l even on my laptop @ 56k so thats a good thing. Not sure if having the product's webpage in the product description...I removed mine altogether because I didn't want people going elsewhere to shop. lol. Just my preference I guess. I think you should get new buttons or make your own. It's always disappointing to see a nice color scheme and then the original buttons. "UberSearch" is a nice touch :lol: Your extensive Q&A is nice - I need to remember to bulk mine up more. It's been awhile since I've done but you could get rid of the "Home" or "Catalog" link in the breadcrumb on the top left under the header since they lead to the same place. You'd hafta ask someone how that's done while still removing the >> characters also. I just can't remember for the life of me. Something you could probably consider doing is installing the Ad Infobox contribution and use it for "Myriad Events" and "Games In Education", etc. to free up your center space on the main page. It would alternate each time the page loads between the 2 (every time someone clicks something) and always be visible so customers don't forget. Hope this helps.
