Barron
I just installed osCommerce 2.2-MS3-CVS-20040322. It doesnt install itself at all. I Dont know what the purpose of going thru all those steps are because it doesnt do anything. I had to go into the configure.php and define everything because it was all blank. Catalog is working fine now but I cant get the admin area to work at all for some reason. Im getting this error; 1146 - Table 'mydatabasename.configuration' doesn't exist select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration Anyone have any idea what this is and how to fix it? AlanR
If you're going to use the CVS version rather than the last released stable (MS2) version you can expect some problems and constant updating of files. Why did you decide to use a development version? AlanR
I dont know. Ive already customized this one, is there no way to fix this issue? A couple of years ago before even the MS1 of 2.2 was released I used the CVS version of 2.2. It was a real chore because you need to track the changes and bugs day by day to get fixes into place and swap out old files with new ones. If this is a hobby for you and you want to tinker endlessly, then fine. If you want to run a store for $$ go with the released version. Barron
This is my 4th shop Ive set up in the last 3 years. Ive used cvs everytime. Have never had to change files out. I customize way to much to change files out for others. There is no need to swap anything out once the site is up and running. Ive been looking thru cvs to see what changes were made on the last catalog/configure and admin/configure. I cant find anything that would cause this problem. The table doesnt exsist in the DB. I dont know what value its supposed to have.
Bj?rn
Ive been looking thru cvs to see what changes were made on the last catalog/configure and admin/configure. I cant find anything that would cause this problem. The table doesnt exsist in the DB. I dont know what value its supposed to have. Its because the $db_table_prefix (e.g. osc_) is not integrated in the admin?s database_tables.php file. Have a look at the database_tables.php in the catalog/includes branch. There the $db_table_prefix is integrated. Maybe you wanna change the file by hand. Other way is to do a new install without a table-prefix. This will work. Guest
The simplest way to fix this is to overwrite the admin database_tables.php with the one from that catalog :D Really, you should use a stable release - CVS versions are for developers.
