HTML Email - Order Process & Order Update

Guest

Recommended Posts

I know this has probably been answered already, but I searched the forums for hours and can't find the answer.

I want the email that is sent to a customer when an order is placed, updated, or shipped to be a html email. Will OSCommerce send html email when orders are processed or updated?

I have installed the WYSIWYG 1.7 contrib. and set it to send email as html, put it continues to only send text email. I have also tried to put the HTML code directly in the customer_process.php file, but that didn't work either. It just sent me the tags. Also, if I turn on the "Send email as HTML" option from the admin -> config -> Email options menu, I don't get any email from the site at all. So, any help would be greatly appreciated. Right now I am running a clean install of the latest version of OsCommerce & the WYSIWYG 1.7 contribution. TIA!

I'm new, but trying to solve email problems of my own. I change between sending HTML and plain text emails by changing one value in the configuration.

In the Configuration >> E-Mail Options

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails Value should be True.

Hope it helps.

coen if I read jbartram's post correctly I think he figured that out but the HTML email is not sending once MIME is turned on. jbatram let me know if I am wrong in saying that. I also have the same problem with my site. If I switch to HTML and someone places an order then no email is sent. If I switch it back to plan text the email gets sent. jbartram let me know if anyone gets an answer to your post.

Thanks,

Greanstuff....You are right. If I try to enable HTML email, no email will send at all. It is really frustrating. If anyone has any suggestions, please post them. Thanks
