hambakwe Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I have just installed OS and it went on easily, first time and seems to work just fine. I am now planning to personalise the look of the shop, the e-mails it sends to new account holders etc., etc. To save me some time looking around (and I am not too expert yet on PHP) where should I look for the various files that relate to content, and what is the best way to make these changes. Is this content in html templates, text files or in the .php? What is the best editor / program to use to make changes - I have everything from text/script editors to Front Page and Dreamweaver. detsouvalas Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Well, If you plan to personalize osCommerce, I think that you should start by reading some related documents ... start from the osCommerceWiki Effort! Install a templates contribution like STS or BTS (to be found in the Contributions Area), so you will be able to work with HTML. Have a look in your language files, to be found under catalog/includes/languages! Take some time to browse through the forums! Antonios B) Antonios
