Guest Posted March 18, 2004 Share Posted March 18, 2004 Hi, I'm using OScommerce along with PROTX , and on the same site I have an additional system for booking ferry tickets. Does anyone know when the actual order from the shopping cart gets processed? If you add your credit card details and then submit but a failed or abort message is produced, does the order go through into osCommerce anyway? Also, as I have a system that is for making reservations, there could be a period of time say 5 mins between the user selecting their tickets and dates required and the actual processing of their credit card details. In this 5 minutes it is theoretically possible for someone else to have nipped in and booked all the tickets that the other user wanted. Does anyone have any ideas how I can double check their reservations when the payment goes through (I would have thought this should be done immediately before the payment is processed), and then only insert the new booking immediately after the payment process has been completed.? I know these questions are probably in PROTX's remit and have contacted them also. Was hoping someone may have come across this already.
