Description as popup window

I am looking to run a very simple oscommerce but the design is not going to look anything like the stock install. (Thanks for STS)

I plan to have a row of images on the front paeg of the design, these images will be clicked to reveal this in a popup window:

I'm just wondering if this is acutally possible? I'm just trying to get my head around how it would work?

I'm not looking for any code, just guidance on where to start.

If anyone could help then that would be great..

Cheers

Tim

I didn't think of using the image popup :)

Sounds like a good idea, gonna be a tad difficult but i reckon worth it in the end!

I'm gonna get the main site designed and have a crack with a single product and see where it takes me.

Thankyou for the reply :)

I like the layout of your design, very nice, clean, straight forward. Have you thought about linking the thumb pictures on your main page to a seperate product page for each one. Having pop ups is going to make it difficult for people with popup blockers to view your selection. Also with just thumb pictures on your home page it is not going to be to search engine friendly, they like content and pics as far as I know don't really count for content.

I think the pop-up design is unquestionable as the customer has seen it and likes the idea :)

As for content on the front page, good point. We could probably do something about that at a later stage at the moment i am just going to try and get this system working :)

Thankyou for the comments on the design, the good looking lady sets it off aswell ;) :D

Thanks again for your help
