Guest
I am new to this and have searched the docs and forum extensively. I keep finding different answers about what the permissions should be on the dirs and files. Could someone PLEASE tell me what these should really be? I can write to my files in my host's home dir, but when I try to do through osc Admin, I get: "Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on:" It's on ALL files whether in admin or catalog. I obviously have something wrong somewhere. Thanks so much
Chris Dunning
I would highly suggest you NOT edit files through the osC admin. That interface has been known to do strange things like stripping slashes from places they should be, etc. Just download the files via FTP, edit them on your machine (I suggest phpEdit - google for it) and then re-upload them. Guest
Thanks so much, BlueNote. That's how I've been doing it, but I thought it might be easier and faster to do it that way. Thanks so much
