I recently switched domain names. my host is ipowerweb.com. As per their instructions, I backed up all the files on the site. And downloaded a gzipped backup of my db. Is there a way I can use that db on my new domain. I realize now that dumping would have been the way to go. But I didnt do that. Am I screwed here?

You should be able to import that gzipped backup through phpMyAdmin.

Every version is a little different...but look for a link that says "sql" somewhere. There should be a text box where you could manually enter (or copy and paste) a query, and a place where you can upload a text file. Choose to upload a text file, browse to your database backup, and go!
