brettrigby
Hi there, I am testing the osCommerce out on a PC (Win2k) set up to be an intranet server until I am ready within to go live, but I am having a few minor problems setting up the SMTP server for my emails. If I try to send an email to a customer, I get the following error: Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address in E:\Sites\Intranet\catalog\admin\includes\classes\email.php on line 502 Within my PHP.ini file, I have specified the name of the server on my network which has the Exchange server running in the following way... [mail function] ; For Win32 only. SMTP = server1 sendmail_from= [email protected] (Where server1 is the name of the Win2k server running MS Exchange) but keep getting errors. Does it make any difference that I am trying to set this up on a PC on the network which is not the SMTP server?? Am I doing something inherently wrong? Thanks in advance... efficiondave
I'm having this problem to. But as far as I can tell, I don't have a PHP.ini file. Where do you specify your SMTP server?
efficiondave
Nevermind, its under the Configuration Section, E-mail Options. It doesn't look like you actually set what the server is, just whether its SMTP (for Windows and Mac) or Sendmail (for Unix).
