naarestrup
Hi! We're setting up a webshop using OScommerce and until now everything has pretty much been working fine... Now we've also setup an account with the USPS and have also had it moved to their production server only to get the error message when a US customer tried to check out: An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations. If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner. I have gone through several other threads with the same error message, but this one has a twist: When we try an check out with an overseas address the shipping calculations work?!?!?!? Any ideas? TIA - Niclas Aa
mugitty
My first guess would be that you do not have your originating ZIP code properly set either in the osC Admin Store Configuration or in the USPS module itself. Since USPS sees all originating points in the US as one for international shipments, it probably doesn't care about your originating ZIP code as long as it knows you're in the US (hence the international rates work) but, for domestic shipments, it does need to know the originating ZIP. ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent!
