Guest
Hi there. My store isn't stored in the top directory of my website. Unfortunately, because of this, if a customer browses another part of my site, their shopping cart contents have disappeared! Is there a way to configure it so that cookies remember the customers cart contents if they leave the store, then return to it? Please help! I'm a newbie!

Guest
OK..... Right.. Scenerio: 1) A customer browses my store. 2) He adds a product to his shopping cart. 3) The customer then visits another part of my website that is NOT part of the oscommerce store. 4) He returns to the store, but now his cart shows "empty." Now, I understand that the default cookies of oscommerce expire as soon as a user leaves the store. What I want to know is this. Is there a way of coding it so that the cookie is permanent???.... or, at least doesnt expire until the user has left the whole site completely. micahs
Mike, Have you checked to make sure you have the directory for cookies set properly? My store is not at the top level for my site either, but if I leave the store to browse the rest of the site, the products remain in the cart. In fact, I can leave the site completely and still have product in the cart when I return, as long as I don't close explorer. Micah
Guest
Hiya, Where do I check that??? Oh, incidently, I did find ONE answer to my problem. I typed my domain name in the COOKIE_DOMAIN bit and it works fine now until the browser is closed.
