When I send a product update and choose from the list of products should the newsletter the customer gets have those items in it? Product notification sends to only people who wanted to receive news about that particular product. That is all. The information they get is what you type in the contents. Nothing more. The notification is sent to all the customers than have selected the option"All notifications" and to the customers than want to know news about that particular product. Guest Posted March 25, 2004 Share Posted March 25, 2004 Let me sharpen that point a little: Assume a customer selects to receive updates to the inflatable car your selling. You now have a new model car, or a new pump for it, and want all those who are interested to know about it: select the product_notification module, and write your update. Before sending, you will be prompted to select the product to which this update is relevant. All customers who requested an update on any of these items will receive the notification. Customer checks 'recieve notification' on all or specific product. what is the procedure for sending that notification? I can't seem to find this module Thanx. Guest Posted May 11, 2004 Share Posted May 11, 2004 After you Lock the product_notification, choose Send. You will then be presented with pick-list of products. Pick a product and Submit.
