Guest
Some of the downloadable items on my site are going to be available for free. So what i want to do is if the total amount comes out to be $0, to allow the users to process the cart and receive their downloads without having t go through paypal etc... Can this be done? radders
Why not just put a link to the free item so that it downloads when they click it and bypass the shopping cart system altogether?
Guest
Because thats an ass-backwards way of doing things. I want to keep everything in the cataloge for tracking and maintenace purposes. Im building a catalogue of multimedia lessons and tutorials on demand... and from time to time some of the lessons will be offered for free, I think it's a much needed bit of functionality. Plus it would be a great way to get my customers used to the idea of going through the purchase proccess, and encourage them to pick up a few pay files along with the free ones, while they are at it. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone else doing media on demand type of services with oscommerce?Movies, music, toons, lessons, games, etc...?
