erice
I have my site hosted by an ISP. What kind of ssl certificates do I need, and does anyone know where I should look to get them?
AlanR
Check with your ISP first. Sometimes they can give you a better deal than you'll get elsewhere. AlanR
Always ask your hosting provider about dedicated ssl, even if you obtain the certificate elsewhere. People have posted stories here about their host not being able to provision the ssl link. The site must have its own IP address for ssl to function and some providers just don't have any available. AlanR
Further to what I've said above your hosting service may want to charge more than you're currently paying because of the dedicated IP. In any case they're the ones who have to do the install.
