danthony2
Well I am getting familiar with the setup, got taxes working now! ;) Wh00t! But the important thing is shipping, I can seem to get any of the UPS or Fedex mods to work. I talked with Fedex for a very long time, they seemed as helpful as talking with Dells technical support. If anyone can help that would be very appreciated! Thanks David
bloodshoteyes
ok, you can't get UPS or Fedex to work. What sort of problems are you having?
danthony2
well As far as Fedex, they said I had to get certified for the Ship manager direct and who ever made the mod was supposed to give me a meter id, I hung up and called again to talk to someone different and that didn't help at all, this rep had no clue what I was talking about, and the standard UPS mod doesn't work at all. If someone could take a look at my cart and maybe create an account (fake is cool) that would really help. Thanks

Chris Dunning
The UPS system that comes with osCommerce is pretty straightforward and difficult to break. The only times I've seen it not work, it's been a server issue - the host was using some sort of firewall or proxy that prevented communication with the UPS servers. If you're using the FedEx module that I'm familiar with, you don't need a meter number, only an account number. The meter number will be assigned to you the first time you connect to their servers. danthony2
Hello This is what I have for the UPS Shipping mod: United Parcel Service Enable UPS Shipping True UPS Pickup Method CC UPS Packaging? CP Residential Delivery? RES Handling Fee 0 Tax Class --none-- Shipping Zone --none-- Sort order of display. 1 Shipping Methods 1DM, 1DML, 1DA, 1DAL, 1DAPI, 1DP, 1DPL, 2DM, 2DML, 2DA, 2DAL, 3DS, GND, STD That seems not to be working either. As for the Fedex shipping this is what it says:: Federal Express You will need to have registered an account with FEDEX to use this module. You will also need to have registered for access to ship manager direct and get added to the test server, and eventually, the production server. Enable Fedex Shipping True Enter the Fedex Account Number NONE Enter the Fedex Meter ID NONE Enter Fedex Server URL (without leading https://, do not append NONE Drop off type 1 Fedex surcharge? 0 Insurance Over? NONE Tax Class --none-- Sort Order 0 I have put in our account info for fedex, and still no go, and I have no clue on what server to use for testing or production. Guest
In your OSC Admin panel under configuration->shipping/packaging what do you have set as your origin country and postal code? OSC out of the box comes with these set to Germany and an unknown postal code so UPS will not work until you set them to your particular country and zip. On the FedEx module you do not have an account number entered in as it says "NONE" so it is unable to get rates from the server until you enter in your account number. danthony2
Justin, You are truely a cart god! That worked. I have wasted so much time and lost a sale yesterday due to the shipping problem. I just made the changes (was set to "none" under shipping zip) Everything is working and the client now has several UPS shipping options. Very cool and thanks a million. veruus
I have somethign to add. Make sure that in the Shipping/Packaging section you have something in the Package Tare weight section. I had a 0 in there and it wasn't giving me any UPS rates. I thought you were all liars and that no one in the entire world who was using osCommerce was actually shipping anything w/ UPS. ;) After I changed that, all the different shipping options popped up immadiately. Thanks!!
