aurelius Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 Hello, I'm a newbie with OSC, so far it seems pretty straightforward and powerful, Hopefully, someone can help with my questions: I'm assuming that one needs to protect the admin area with more than a .htaccess file? I'm using a shared ssl certificate for checkout which works okay, but there seems to be no similar protection for the admin section where the CC#'s are printed out onscreen. I don't see the point in using ssl to secure the transaction if it's all but wide open when the numbers are retrieved... How do you go about adding ssl protection for the admin section then? I tried modifying the /admin/includes/configure.php file (changed define ('HTTPS_SERVER' to my shared ssl certificate, and set the ENABLE_SSL to TRUE, but no dice, still has the little unlocked padlock in the admin section when I login. Lastlly, can a business use their existing merchant account to just process the numbers without having an online merchant account? thanks to whoever can help, aurelius
