Processing forms by name

I have worked out why some forms don't work in certain places and basically no matter what button you press to activate your form ie. update, go (for search) it just processes the first form on the page.

 

Therefore if select an item to remove from your shopping cart and then select go for the search form it actually updates the shopping cart and doesn't do the search (this is if your search is after the shopping cart, in my case in column_right)

 

Can someone tell me how I tell the program that when I click Go for the search that is to process the search form and no other etc. I have found some javascript but can't work it in to the php.
