Dakota Posted March 5, 2004 Share Posted March 5, 2004 Is there any harm done by removing the login/create account sentence? How are they removed? Doesn't look too inviting to demand login from a casual visitor. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ozcsys Posted March 5, 2004 Share Posted March 5, 2004 OK, but where do I find Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in? Or would you prefer to create an account? to comment it out. Also, don't I get exra white space when I do that? look for this line to comment out
<?php echo tep_customer_greeting(); ?>
or you can go to your english.php file find define('TEXT_GREETING_GUEST', 'Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in? Or would you prefer to create an account?'); and remove the info between the ' ' to make it blank. Or you can change to wording to make it more friendly to new visitors by putting anything you want there The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right?? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
