stephaniezara Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Eek!!! What did I do??? I installes Quantity Price Breaks Per Product and then installed Easy Populate. Seems to be working fine on the admin side and I'm having no trouble using EP to manage my products. I had installed the mod that allows ordering from the product listing and that has always worked fine. But I just tried giving my shop a test run after installing EP and the Price Breaks and he's what happens... I go into a category, change the quantity of a product from 0 to 1 and hit Add To Cart. What it ads to the cart is the correct amount of the products that I told it to order...and then 1 of EVERY OTHER PRODUCT in the category!!! This doesnt seem like something caused by EP since I dont think it messes with the shopping cart at all so I'm assuming that I damaged something with the Price Breaks mod. Stupid person that I am I didnt run a test session AFTER installing that and BEFORE installing EP. Duh! Rtaher than going back and undoing ALL the changed made by Price Breaks can someone tell me what the probably very simple problem is and how to fix it? I dont know much at all about php. just enough to follow instructions on how to install modifications. If I tell it to order 5 of a particular product it adds that correctly. But for some reason all the products with 0 entered and getting 1 added. Also if I clear the 0 out of the box and hit add to cart is still ads 1 if that matters. If there is already one or more of a product ordered and I leave it blank or set at zero and hit Add To Cart it doesn't add any more to the total. Please please please could someone tell me how to fix this? I've gotten so much help here and I am truly grateful for this resource! Thanks!
project_aism Posted March 4, 2004 Posted March 4, 2004 Just remove the contributions. *or* 1. In mysql drop database osc; 2. In shell rm -fr osc Easy. Sorted. Happy.
korsh Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Hi Stephaniezara, There is a solution to this problem but as yet I like yourself haven't found it. I was working on this problem over the Christmas break and for the moment I can't remember what file it was in, but Price Breaks is set to default to entering 1 in the quantity field of the shopping cart there is a line of code that converts 0 to 1 by default, and while that is fine it really messes with the add multiple products contribution as you have described. I will try to go back over my notes and see if I can't find the code in question and get back to you. Sorry I can't be of more help but as they say a problem shared is a problem halved. James
stephaniezara Posted March 9, 2004 Author Posted March 9, 2004 It is a huge relief to klnow that this problem isn't unique to my store. That at least tells me that either these to mods aren't compatable as they are written...or that you an I both screwed up the exact same way which seems unlikely. :P PLEASE let me know if you have any firther insights or if you find a solution! Somebody out there must know what to do! Thanks!
