v-funk
Hi, I have replace the OS logo with my client's & I've been told by my hosting provider that it is this image that causes the browser lock NOT to appear at the bottom of the browser window. I don't get the "This page contains secure & non-secure items" warning though, the lock just doesn't appear...which is a problem as most people look for that as a sign of a secure page plus I don't even know if it is secure or not! But all pages have https://...... so they should be. How do I secure the images on the page in hope the browser lock will appear?

If I use Netscape in some situations I'll get that warning when IE will just refuse to lock the padlock. Read this wiki section for advice on linking so as to maintain ssl security http://wiki.oscommerce.com/WarnSecurity Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
v-funk
Thanks, I read through the documentation and took the alt tag off of the logo.gif - then when I refreshed the page the browser lock did flash then when it loaded the other images which are part of OS (eg. the little character in the right corner) it disappeared again... :( How do I delete these images all together? I worked out how to do it for the non-secure pages - by in index.php include file deleting the image source in the line define('TABLE_HEADING_IMAGE', ''); But this doesn't seem to carry through to the SSL files as these images have reappeared on all the SSL files. Maybe if I can get rid of these images the browser lock might come back on?
