Check.NL
Hi there, I want to upgrade the 2.2 ms2 version I am using now to the CVS version. How can this be done best. I've read something about just inserting the new sql but that seems not quite right to me. Can someone, who has some experience in this matter, tell me what the best way is to upgrade to the latest version? PLease be so kind to let me know. Greetings, Coen Heck
wizardsandwars
It's never easy. First you'll have to compage each table in the database to the ones you have, and make sure that the new one has all column the old one then. Then you need to add all of the contributions you installed and modifications you made to the new version. Everything you added to your old shop, you'll need to re-apply to your new one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. Check.NL
At this moment it's a rather empty system. Is it also possible to use the new version as a fresh install? I've downloaded it but I can't see a install dir in the CSV version or isn't it needed? If it is easy to install the CVS version as a new version I will do that. Can you let me know what the best way is? Thanks in advance, Coen Heck
wizardsandwars
Yes, you can just download the latest version and use that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. Check.NL
Is it correct that there is no install directory? Can I just upload it and use it or do I have to edit some files like config or is there a script that automatically comes up when ran for the first time? Thanks till so far, Coen Heck
