Shop owner gets no oder-email

The shopowner doesn't get an email with the orderinformation when a customer has ordered a product. The extra email gets it OK.

 

In admin:

sendmail (UNIX-server)

LF

true

false

Send Emails: true

 

Who can help me?

I have been searching for 2 days!!! :(

Dear Han,

 

Mine is configured like below:

 

sendmail

LF

false

false

Send E-Mails true

 

Maybe the MIME handler isn't configured correctly.

Check what happens if u use these settings.

Dat heb ik ook al eens geprobeerd, maar dit hielp niet. (I am Dutch too)

I tried this, but it had no effect.

i just looked in the mail log and i see the following:

 

<[email protected]>... User unknown

 

[email protected] is where orders go.

 

 

how can i make sendmail realize this is a legit user?

 

also, for mail addr. to [email protected] says:

 

dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (i24MZCRI018037 message accepted for delivery) but i never got the mail.

 

i just don't understand. :huh:

could this be the x-mailer a lot of servers these days are set to reject mail with no subject or unknown name or origin due to spam. what you are experiencing has been covered a lot in the forums and a search should reveal the correct answer

in admin mail.php is more concerned with mime

If what 241 is talking about doesn't help you, please post if you have a webmail interface for your pop3 e-mail system. If it is running on a different server, then I may be able to help you. I had this problem and pulled my hair out for 2 days on it and then I figured out a work-around solution.

I just upgraded from 2.2 CVS to 2.2 MS2 this morning and am having the same problem - owner' copy of order emails are not being delivered. I do have a webmail interface for my pop3 accounts - how can that help?

OK... if you have a access for your pop3 e-mail, most likely you are accessing it your webmail from a different server than you pop3 e-mail. You need to find out which webmail server you are accessing your webmail from. Log into your webmail and verify the server name in the url address. So, if you have your store e-mail address as...

 

[email protected]

 

For your receiving e-mails, set the addresses to the following using the symbols as they are written...

 

userid%[email protected]

 

I hope this is clear enough to understand. Give this a shot and let me know if it worked for you. This is the only way I was able to get it to work for me.

Let me clarify this... for some reason the post swapped some of my words around...

 

If you have webmail access for your pop3 e-mail, most likely you are accessing it from a different server than your pop3 e-mail.... the rest is fine...

Hi Jamy,

 

I am having the same problem as Coen. I tried your solution but I am not sure if I understood correctly. I have webmail and the userid for my webmail account is the same as the email address, e.g. [email protected].

 

So from your description I should be entering:

 

[email protected]%[email protected]@webserver.com

 

What I don't understand is where I can find webserver.com?

 

Appreciate if you could further clarify this.

Hi mjgillan,

 

Sorry, but that doesn't work for me. The owner emails don't get delivered regardless of the domain used for the owner's email; it doesn't matter what email address I try.

 

This was working in 2.2CVS before I upgraded; now that I've upgraded to 2.2MS2 it no longer works.

 

Thanks for explaining a solution that worked for you, I'll keep working on my situation. For now I'm relying on the "Send extra email to" function to get the email.
