eway module install/setup

Hi can anyone give me step by step instructions for installing/confguring the eWay osCommerce module. I have checked out their documentation but not knowing alot about XML nor php for that matter I am a little stumped. I have read alot of posts regarding the matter and still dont seem to be any closer to sorting it I copied the module to the modules folder and received the following error:

WARNING:This transaction was INSECURE

 

The warning section is generated by the module iteslf (i Believe) due to the lack of ssl at this time (I dont want to shell out $240 for the cert and $99 for an IP allocation) unless I know it will work. I also believe CURL is neccessary for the XML Post as per the module I am not sure if my current host has or can offer this.

 

I have looked @ module.php and found the reference to the variable but am yet to find where it is declared.

 

Any help would greatly appreciated.

 

TB, Steve are guys still involved in the forum if so it would be good to start some dialogue.
