tmorton
Hi all! Just wanted to drop by a little note telling you that I've finally released my first osCommerce website, Wild Garden Seed. http://www.wildgardenseed.com It's based off of osC 2.2 MS2 with several extensive modifications that I've hacked out. They include: * Ability to have different weights on products using product options. * Descriptions of products on index page. * Custom shipping module * Different <title> tags for products/categories (e.g., Wild Garden Seed: Lettuce) * Others If anyone wants to know how I did these things, I'd be happy to share :). Also, if anyone has suggestions, please let me know. Thanks! --Taj "My software never has bugs, it just develops random features."
DLong
Just a quick note. When clicking on categories, on the subsequent page you have a broken image link for the "Let's see what we have here".

tmorton
Thanks for the heads up both of you! I've fixed the missing "Let's See What We Have Here" image. Tom, where is the missing header image? Any critique is welcome! Thanks, Taj "My software never has bugs, it just develops random features."
Chance
For something that is bought purely on asthetic value (Flowers) you have no pictures to show the buyer what they look like. I am guessing your target market is going to be housewives who are looking for garden or landscaping filler- don't you think they would like to see what the seed they are going to purchase is going to produce? Your site is fine, and you have managed to take a mostly basic osC install and give it a good CSS upgrade and color scheme. Good work, but many like to see a higher level of customization. My advice comes in two flavors- Pick the one that won't offend you. tmorton
Hi, For something that is bought purely on asthetic value (Flowers) you have no pictures to show the buyer what they look like. Yes, I know. We're in the process of scanning a whole library of slides. ;) I am guessing your target market is going to be housewives who are looking for garden or landscaping filler- don't you think they would like to see what the seed they are going to purchase is going to produce? Actually, our target market is farmers, but I agree with you...photos are a must. I'll see if I can start the slide-scanning process. :D Your site is fine, and you have managed to take a mostly basic osC install and give it a good CSS upgrade and color scheme. Good work, but many like to see a higher level of customization. Yes, probably so... <_< I'll see what I can do. Any ideas? Thanks, Taj "My software never has bugs, it just develops random features." burt
It doesn;t do much for me, but then I don't have green fingers. Just OK - could do with some "X factor".
Guest
As quite a beginner myself, there are plenty of things that you have done that would help me. Although my site is live, i haven't linked to it yet so no one can see unless i give you this: www.pcplanetsales.co.uk/shop, please take a look so far on the basic layout. Please how do you get the page names/titles on each page rather than Let's see what we have here, or 'categories'. Your contact us page is exactly what i wanted, to be able to put our business info inside it also, how did you do it. How to create new pages such as 'about us'? How to get rid of 'Welcome' and all the login nonsense that will put my buyers off at the home page? Can i customise my products and how. What i want to do is create drop down list for say, processors and they choose which one with the additional cost in brackets, but if selected this MUST adjust the overall price and cart totals.????? I would like to move a few things around like you have search engine on the right and you got rid of languages and currencies in the right column, which i also don't need? I would really, really appreciate your help in how you done the above, but are you able to provide quite basic steps to carry it out pleasse Many thanks Steve
